YUP is about learning about other cultures and places and interacting with people around the world. We hope to accomplish this by sending a stuffed animal (the YUP Pup) to various places around the world. We send the pup either by mail or from hand to hand to some other country, kind of like throwing a bottle with a note out to sea. We get the people who have the pup to take it around and take pictures, write letters, send postcards, whatever. When they send the YUP pup and the materials back we can eventually make a book and publish it which is our ultimate goal. The money made from the royalties and book sales can go to charities, or we can decide what to do with it later. We also work with local charities that benefit youth. Every month or so we make a poster display to educate people on charities and youth issues. We also might do special charity activities like our December food drive.
